How do I book a return trip?

Select the first leg of your journey from the options above.
Select your first date of travel, your preferred shuttle departure time, and the number of guests in your group, then click "Continue".
On the next page, before you enter your personal information, select "+ Sun Peaks Resort to Kelowna Airport | Public" or "+ Kelowna Airport to Sun Peaks Resort | Public".
Select your return date of travel, your preferred shuttle departure time, and the number of guests in your group. Click "Continue" to add the return trip to your booking.

If you need to change the date, number of guests, or departure time select the name of the item you'd like to modify. Update the information and select "Update".

How do I book a one-way trip?

Select the direction you wish to travel from the options above. In the next screen select your date of travel, your preferred shuttle departure time, and the number of guests in your group. Select "Continue" and fill in the required information on the next page.

Do I have to book in advance?

Yes, prebookings are required. Guests can book online up to 48 hours before the shuttle's scheduled departure. The shuttle only operates when booked.

If you'd like to make a booking within 48 hours of the scheduled departure time please call the office at 250-717-8452. Bookings made within 48 hours will be subject to availability.

I'm travelling within in the next 48 hours. How can I make a booking?

If you are travelling within the next 48 hours please call the office between the hours of 9 AM and 9 PM PST to make a booking.

I'm a travelling solo, do you accept bookings for solo travellers?

Yes! We welcome solo travellers. Please call our office at 1-250-717-8452 to make a booking. We will be happy to add you to a shuttle that is already going.

Please be aware that if we cannot add you to an existing shuttle then the price for a solo traveller is $292.50.
If you book as a solo and we add more travellers to that trip then you will be refunded $146.25.

Where do I meet the shuttle at YLW?

The public Sun Peaks shuttle meets at the designated shuttle pick-up and drop-off area at YLW, outside next to Tim Horton's.

What if my luggage is delayed or lost?

If your luggage arrives on the same plane but is delayed coming out the shuttle will wait.

The shuttle does not wait for lost luggage or for guests to enter an in-person claim with an airline representative.

The shuttle driver will provide the customer service phone numbers for all major airlines so you can start your claim while on the shuttle. Air Canada and WestJet also offer an online baggage claim service.

Cheers! strongly encourages guests to pack a change of clothes and all required medications in their carry-ons as well as pre-purchasing sufficient travel insurance to cover unforeseen costs incurred by lost luggage.

What if my flight is delayed? Will the shuttle wait?

The shuttle may be held up to 20 minutes after its scheduled departure time to accommodate guests who've been delayed due to flight changes.

If you are on the last scheduled departure, 4:00 PM, we will hold the shuttle as late as 7:00 PM. If you are delayed past 7:00 PM we will move you to the next available departure, typically 8:00 AM the next day.

How much time do I need between my flight's scheduled arrival time and the shuttle's departure time?

Guests' scheduled arrival time must be 30 or more minutes before the shuttle's scheduled departure time.

Cheers! reserves the right to move guests who have booked a shuttle too close to their scheduled arrival time to the next shuttle departure.

Where does the shuttle pick-up/drop-off at Sun Peaks?

The shuttle picks up and drops off at guest accommodations.

Pick-up: please be ready 10-15 minutes prior to your scheduled pick-up time to help ensure a timely departure from the resort.

Drop-off: if you are unable to access your unit at the time of drop-off the shuttle will drop you off at the Village Day lodge. From there you can catch the In-Resort Shuttle to your neighborhood.

How long is the trip between YLW and Sun Peaks?

In excellent driving conditions, the trip between Sun Peaks and YLW is 2 hours and 30 minutes. We allow 3 hours of travel time to account for any minor delays or poor weather conditions.

What kind of vehicle will I be riding in? Does it have a restroom?

Shuttles are typically delivered in a 13-passenger Ford Transit van or a 20-24-passenger VIP Touring Coach.

Restrooms are not available on any vehicles in the Cheers! fleet. It's recommended to use the facilities before departing. If a break is needed please talk to the driver. They will make a stop at the next available rest area, when it is safe to do so.

How much luggage is included with my fare? What if I have extra pieces?

The public shuttle fare includes 1 carry-on, 1 suitcase and 1 set of ski or board equipment per person, per direction.

Additional pieces of luggage are $20 per piece, per trip.

If you are travelling with more luggage than included in the fare please select "Additional Luggage" when checking out. Additional Luggage fees are charged per trip. If you are booking a round trip and have one additional piece both ways please select Quantity: 2.

Does the public shuttle stop for groceries and supplies on the way to Sun Peaks?

No, the public shuttle to Sun Peaks does not include any scheduled stops.
